Sending Sound on a Lightwave


    I've teamed up with Mr. G from the Mr. G Science Show to explore how telecommunications work by experimenting with a laser and a solar cell. The experiment demonstrates how information can be sent as a signal of of light (electromagnetic radiation) and as the light turns on and off the receiving machine can decode the pulses into information. This is a simple model of how cell phones, radios, bluetooth and all other wireless devices work.
